Today I went to JMPC to accompany my mother for her appointment with the surgeon. She actually undergo a bypass surgery July last year. It was a triple bypass. The appointment was a regular checkup. When arriving there I saw the “Flu Desk” where visitors need to be check briefly by the nurse. We were asked to fill in a form asking the health condition and where about the last 7 days before.
The Ministry of Health would also like this opportunity to remind the public to
take the following precautionary health measures :- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Keep your distance from others when you are sick
- Don’t travel if you are sick
- Consult a doctor if you are sick
- Keep yourself updated on the situation as advised by the Ministry
of Health
- Avoid close contact with persons who have flu-like symptoms
