H1N1 Announcement

With the uprising total of infected people of the H1N1 virus, most parents were concerned about the start of the new school terms tomorrow. There were rumors saying about the extension of the school holiday, but none have given the answer to confirm it. Earlier this afternoon Mrs. HBK received a message form her Headmistress which she received from PKD Brunei I & III. It was regarding the extension of the school holiday till the 4th July 2009. All students will start schooling on Monday the 6th July 2009.

As from the text message:

Salam, Kepada Guru-Guru,

Diarahkan oleh YB Pehin Menteri Pendidikan, semua murid dikehendaki bercuti sehingga 4hb Julai 2009. Pelajar dikehendaki mula bersekolah pada 6hb Julai 2009. Walau bagaimanapun guru-guru dikehendaki berkerja seperti biasa bermula 29hb Jun 2009. Guru Besar hendaklah mempastikan guru-guru membuat nota-nota atau apa jua kerja untuk pelajar semasa pelajar bercuti. Arahan ini tertakluk kepada pengumuman dari Radio dan TV.

So to be more sure on this announcement is to wait for the News tonight.

Consumer Fair Part 4 @ICC

“It is envisioned that the Brunei Consumer Fair will in the long run be at a level that is comparable with leading international event organizers. With strong support from both local and foreign exhibitors, the fair will be able to gain international reputation.

This observation was made by the Acting Minister of Industry & Primary Resources, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamdillah bin Haji Abd Wahab, who officiated the opening of the Consumer Fair Part 4 2009 (CF4) at the International Convention Centre (ICC) yesterday.” Click here to read more (Source Borneo Bulletin)
