Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah is one of the main attraction of tourist to Brunei Darussalam. Been a while planning to take pictures of this magnificent mosque which was named after His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and so today make up my mind and went there late this afternoon.
Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah is situated at Kg. Kiarong, about 4km from Bandar Seri Begawan. It was built in the year 1998 on a 20 acre of land. Jame’ was first used on Thursday night in conjunction with His Majesty’s 48th Birthday on the 14th July 1994, where His Majesty himself attended the mass Maghrib & Isyak prayer.
Jame’ has the capacity to accommodate more than 5,000 people and is fully equipped with a Library, an Administration Block and a Conference Hall etc.
